How We Give

Giving back to the local community and the world around is important, which is why NAVAWELL focuses on both local and global causes. We concentrate on four giving categories that we feel impact the world and our livelihoods the most - Animal Welfare, Environmental Conservation, Public Health, and Social Empowerment. The donations we make through funds raised in our community & corporate classes and events are allocated towards non-profit organizations & charities that support these four aims. We support one cause category each quarter and split donations 50/50 between local and global groups. You can learn more about each organization by clicking on the name below.

ANIMAL WELFARE

OCSPCA (Local) & WORLD WILDLIFE FUND (Global)

What They Do:

The OCSPCA (Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) works locally to promote humane treatment of animals, educate the public, assist low-income pet owners, and help pets in need find safe and happy homes. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) supports wildlife conservation to help save some of our most important and unique species around the globe. It also focuses on issues like climate change, water, food sources, ocean preservation, and public policy.

When We Donate:

January 1st - March 31st

ENVIRONMENTAL

ENVIRONMENTAL NATURE CENTER (Local) & CONSERVATION INTERNATIONAL (Global)

What They Do:

The ENC of Newport Beach is a 5 acre interactive landscape for educating the public about the natural world, our local environment, preservation, and sustainable practices. Conservation International empowers societies to responsibly and sustainably care for nature, global biodiversity, and the well-being of humanity. Over the years they have safeguarded over 601 million hectares of land.

When We Donate:

April 1st - June 30th

PUBLIC HEALTH

CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF ORANGE COUNTY (Local) & DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS (Global)

What They Do:

The Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) is a non-profit hospital that supports the health and survival of our community's children by providing state-of-the-art care close to home. Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) works internationally to provide care where the need is greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care.

When We Donate:

July 1st - September 30th

SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT

SUPPORTING PEOPLE IN NEED (Local) & WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME (Global)

What They Do:

SPIN (Supporting People In Need), located in Costa Mesa, was founded to support the homeless of Orange County. They provide housing and shelter assistance, support services for struggling families to help them become self-sufficient, and work to find solutions for the many causes of homelessness. The WFP, an extension of the United Nations, is the world's largest humanitarian organization addressing hunger, promoting food security, improving nutrition, and fighting the cycle of hunger and poverty.
